A coastline that is rare even around the world where you can find jade gemstones exists in Asahi-machi, Toyama Prefecture, and it has been designated as one of Japan's 100 most beautiful beaches.
Since procuring the heavy jade gemstones from this coast around 40 years ago, the “jade yokan” (sweet bean azuki jelly) was produced based on the idea of whether this beauty could be expressed in Japanese sweets.
We have added a subtle matcha flavor to the beautiful lustrous jade-colored yokan, one of the traditional colors of Japan, and mixed it with sugar agar made with natural string-type agar and granulated sugar.
Just like there are no stones that are like each other, each “jade yokan” is truly one-of-a-kind. We deliver this delicious snack containing 65 year’s worth of experience as Japanese confectionery craftsmen as we hope that everyone can experience this once-in-a-lifetime taste.
In Toyama Prefecture, approximately 150 ruins from the Paleolithic era have been confirmed to date.

Jade ornamental stones are believed to possess spiritual power. We who live in the present age think nostalgically about the memories entrusted by ancient people.
Using the selection of jade as the national stone of Japan in 2016 as a new opportunity,
we will continue to produce each “jade yokan” by hand with the hope of creating Japanese sweets
that will connect our hearts together at tea ceremonies and verandas.

비취 원석을 만날 수 있는 세계적으로도 드문 해안이 도야마현 아사히마치에 있어 ‘일본의 바닷가 백선’에 선정되었습니다.
40년쯤 전에 묵직한 비취를 이 해안에서 발견한 이래, 이 아름다움을 화과자로 표현할 방법을 줄곧 고민한 끝에
명과 ‘비취 양갱’(히스이요칸)에 이르렀습니다.
일본 전통 빛깔의 하나인 가와세미색 양갱에 은은한 말차의 풍미를 가미하고, 천연 실한천과 자라메 설탕을 재료로 만든 간고리(설탕 한천)를 곁들였습니다.
세상에 같은 돌은 없듯이 어느 하나 똑같은 ‘비취 양갱’은 없습니다. “여러분께서 평생에 단 한 번 만날 이 맛을 느끼셨으면”하는 마음,
화과자 장인 인생 65년의 온 마음을 담은 맛을 여러분께 전하고 싶습니다.
